I have been attending leadership training sessions since the mid-80s. This was a great program from start to finish, I have spent every step of the way feeling as though I was set up to succeed, learn and grow.
The leadership program has been a valuable experience for me that helped me redefine the meaning of leadership and helped me build my confidence in the workplace. I have learnt that leadership isn’t always about hierarchy or having a formal title, but about leading through influence, supporting others and leading through example. Fiona created a safe, supportive and inclusive environment allowing people with different personalities and learning styles to participate in a way that felt comfortable while still encouraging growth. The content was practical, convenient and easy to access and we were provided with resources that I can continue to refer back to.

When Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ) partnered with Performastery Leadership Facilitation to deliver the Leaders Unleashed Program, the goal was clear - to strengthen leadership capability across their organisation and support the next generation of confident, capable, and inclusive female leaders. This initiative aligned directly with SLSQ’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Strategy 2024–2027, which commits to removing barriers, increasing representation, and fostering a culture of belonging across all areas of the organisation. By investing in the growth of female leaders, SLSQ is actively creating pathways for greater gender equity in leadership, ensuring its leadership profile reflects the diverse Queensland communities it serves.
Before the program, many participants described themselves as passionate and hardworking but unsure how to translate those strengths into confident, consistent leadership. Some struggled with time management and self-belief, while others were navigating new roles and leadership responsibilities for the first time. Delivered over several months, the program combined live workshops, practical application tasks, guided reflection, and one-on-one coaching to help participants turn leadership theory into daily practice - building confidence, accountability, and self-awareness through real-world experience.
